Sir Gallahad goes home with Summer

Sir Galahad

I didn’t intend to buy a puppy that afternoon. I thought I’d learn something about dog training before I emBARKed. I went into Tiny Treasures looking for a treat pouch. Having researched breeds on the Internet, I knew I wanted a white, part poodle but that was to be six months to a year away……or so I thought.
When I opened the door to go in, the cutest little face I ever saw in my life was QUIETLY giving me eye contact from the first crib. I was a gonner from that first moment. He was basically white but the auburn fur around his eyes and the floppy, auburn ears convinced me that there would never be a more beautiful, unique puppy in all the world. I had never heard of a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel but soon learned that that in combination with a poodle was the ideal mix. He was a gentleman! (Hence the name “Sir Galahad”.)
Jack and Brian did everything possible to make the transition easy and pleasurable. They agreed to keep him for a week until I got things ready. (I highly suggest this for anyone new to puppydom.) Each day, I came in and got items like a crate and pen along with expert instructions in answer to all my many questions (like how to have him wear a seat belt). This allowed time to build trust with the puppy so that he recognized me when I came in and was happy to go home with me when it was time. He was (and still is) playful, quiet, easily house trained and he doesn’t shed. I couldn’t be happier and neither could Sir Galahad! Thanks, Jack and Brian, Tiny Treasures is the BEST!
